A 1990 Roddy Piper vs. Bad News Brown wrestling match is among classic footage that’s been deleted, as WWE Network content is migrated to the Peacock streaming service.

Wrestling news website PWInsider first reported the edits.

According to Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd, the scrubbed Piper/Brown footage, from the “WrestleMania VI” mega-event, “included Piper (a white wrestler) painting half his face black while facing off against Brown (a Black wrestler).

Hollywood Reporter says WWE footage is being reviewed “to ensure it aligns with Peacock’s standards and practices.

WWE is also being made aware of any edits.”Fans have also noticed a 2005 “Survivor Series 19” segment was scrubbed from Peacock.
