Japan’s Nipro to make Vietnam’s first ever dialyzersJapanese medical equipment manufacturer Nipro Corporation has received a license to invest an additional $270 million in its HCMC plant and set up Vietnam’s first dialyzer production line.
It will take the total investment in the Nipro Vietnam plant at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) to $570 million.
Nipro’s first medical manufacturing plant in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, Hai Phong City.
Nipro will start upgrading its plant next month and start production of dialyzers in 2023, manufacturing six million in the first year before increasing the capacity to 48 million a year.
It was licensed in 2016 to manufacture catheters, blood tubing sets, infusion sets, and other products required for dialysis.
