They're back - high school athletes talk about the return to playHere's what Oregon's high school athletes say about their long-awaited return.
Now, imagine how all that would feel if you were a young, energetic high school athlete who hadn't been allowed to play your sport(s) of choice — or see your friends and teammates — for that same, long 12 months.
Well here's what those athletes felt like when they were finally allowed to return to action at the beginning of March.
• Kalista Lukovich, Clackamas volleyball: "I love getting to play.
It's a bummer that we can't have a state championship, but it's just fun to get out here and at least get nine games with (my high school team)."
